Eco Printing - Botanical Dying

I have been working with dying and natural dying and printing for a dozen or more years.  It is a wonderful medium that calls for experimentation and all results are an adventure.

Dying using leaves, bark, stem of botanicals.  My favorites are Eucalyptus, Catalpa, Casuarina, Walnut, Maple, Oak and Gingko.  I also love to experiment with new finds, you just never know! While some leaves produce extraordinary  color others have beauty in their shape, making them a lovely resist for traditional dye-work.
